About this blog...

This blog page is an informal spot to organize helpful information that I've gathered.  Since I've become a parent representative for the Trumbull County Family & Children First Council, my eyes have been opened to the numerous services this area has to offer and I want to do my part to make sure the general public knows about these services, events, issues, etc. too.

Here is the official webpage for the Trumbull County Family & Children First Council.    If you are looking for a specific service, please give Ohio 211 a look.

I'm also sharing helpful articles and event information on Facebook.

Thanks for stopping by.

Heat Relief

Salvation Army offers cooling place

WARREN - The Salvation Army here is providing a place for people to escape the heat.

The cooling site, 270 Franklin St. S.E., is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday. Water is available.

Capt. Charles Coffelt said the cooling station will be open throughout the summer.

Donations of water and snacks are welcomed to help those in need, Coffelt said.
