Project Feed Our Valley

According to their facebook page, the Eastwood Mall Complex will be hosting
an event on behalf of the Second Harvest Food Bank

Saturday, December 8, 2012
11:00am until 7:00pm

Hunger in our Valley is on the rise. And instead of just reporting on

the problem, 21 News is doing something to help.

Project: Feed Our Valley is an effort to educate people about hunger in our community.

It's also a "call to action" to raise vital donations of food and money in order to feed our hungry

The beneficiary of this 21 News project is Second Harvest Food Bank

of the Mahoning Valley; a local organization which feeds more than
10,000 needy people each week in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.

Most people think that hunger is an inner-city problem. But poverty

is also on the rise in the suburbs and in rural areas of our community.
21 News hopes to dispel myths about hunger and provide opportunities
for viewers to help.

Project: Feed Our Valley promises to be a true community effort with

events throughout the year to encouraging local businesses and
individuals to join the fight against hunger.

Please join us for this wonderful event.
